"The Producers (2)," Priscilla Beach Theatre, Priscilla Beach, Manomet, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

This post is the second of a four-part series. Part 1 is at this link. Images in Parts 1 and 2 are sequential from within the next to last dress rehearsal.  Parts 3 and 4 are sequential from within the final dress rehearsal and will be published in the coming days.

The screen and stage classic, "The Producers," opened this week for a fourteen performance run at Priscilla Beach Theatre (PBT). (Online at this link  or by phone: 508-224-4888).

I captured so many beautiful moments in this production it seems a good idea to stretch this blog into four separate posts. I like to include too many images on my PBT posts since I know that the performers, families, and friends who can't come see the show can still enjoy a few of the special moments vicariously.  Also, the performers sometimes use the images to help build their portfolios.

"The plot is simple. A down-on-his-luck Broadway producer and his mild-mannered accountant come up with a scheme to produce the most notorious flop in history. This plan will net them millions of dollars. Everything goes wrong as the flop is actually a hit! " (Source: PBT)

Many members of the PBT team that make all this happen behind the scenes include:

Owners, Guardians, and Producers: Bob and Sandy Malone
Director: Ron Fassler
Musical Director: Christopher Ricci
Production Manager: Joshua Patino
Stage Manager: Ross Magnant
Choreographer: Ashley Kilmer
Co-Choreographer: Kingsley Maduri
Costumes: Megan Mistretta
Lighting: Ellie Rogers
Sound: Chris Conti

The following images are in order of appearance in the show, picking up where Part 1 left off. It is a great evening of entertainment carried out by a wonderfully talented group of performers under the tried and true direction of PBT alumnus Ron Fassler.  Ron directed the grand reopening of PBT in 2015 with "Fiddler on the Roof," and he returned again in 2016 to direct "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum." Ron was an actor here in his formative years in the mid-1970's - how about that for full circle!

Check back soon for Parts 3 and 4 of this series.
