"The Last Five Years," Final Dress Rehearsal, Priscilla Beach Theatre, Priscilla Beach, Manomet, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

Bob and Sandy Malone, owners, guardians, and producers of Priscilla Beach Theatre (PBT) kicked off the 2018 performance season with a production of "The Last Five Years." The show has only two performers (pictured above): Kathryn Kilger and Brendan Duquette.

"The Last Five Years is an emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show takes you through Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards from their breakup to the beginning of their relationship. Jamie, the man, tells their story from beginning to end. They meet one time; at their wedding in the middle of the show." (Source: PBT).

PBT has done it again: created and produced live theatre magic, right here in our community. Nothing beats a live performance and PBT is always a class act. There is something special and historic about this venue. To sit in this restored 130+ year old barn and sense the performers and audiences who have graced this space is an annual reminder of the wonderful choice that Bob and Sandy Malone made to restore this venue rather than tear it down and rebuild. History runs strong through the wide wood beams and walls. Live theatre is unlike all other entertainments - to fill a space with movement, song, and drama is magical for each and every performance.
