"The Marvelous Wonderettes: Caps and Gowns (1)," Final Tech/Dress Rehearsals, Priscilla Beach Theatre (PBT), Priscilla Beach, Manomet, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

"The Marvelous Wonderettes."

Priscilla Beach Theatre (PBT) Owners and Guardians, Bob and Sandy Malone, will soon open their production of the musical comedy, "The Marvelous Wonderettes: Caps and Gowns," for an eight performance run on the Barn Stage. This is the second production for the 2021 Adult Cast Series season. The setting is 1958 and graduation has arrived for the all girls singing group, The Marvelous Wonderettes! Dozens of tunes from that era are featured.

The Barn Stage, a 240-seat venue, is in its 83rd season and is cited as the oldest summer stock barn theatre still operating in America. The original barn was built in 1875. The current owners, Bob and Sandy Malone, completed a modernization and renovation effort in 2014-15. (Above image is from a different show).

The following images were captured live during a dress/tech rehearsal and are generally in order of occurrence in the show. I purposefully do not color-correct. The variety of tints and hues are induced by the changing stage lighting effects. I am generally more interested in trying to capture the character's emotion of the moment.

A hallmark of all Priscilla Beach Theatre performances is live music!
